Patti Starr is a world renowned paranormal investigator who owns the Ghost Chasers International organization founded in 1996 based in Lexington, Kentucky. She is also owner of the Ghost Hunter Shop located at 835 Porter Place, Lexington, Kentucky. Patti is also the tour guide for the immensely popular Bardstown Ghost Trek which she started in 1997 in Bardstown, KY.
With over 30 years of paranormal research and ghost investigations Patti has captured many anomalies in photos, videos and audios while investigating haunted locations. Her goal as an experienced and accomplished paranormal investigator is to collect evidence to support the premise that life goes on even after death. She is very active as a ghost researcher, author, lecturer, consultant, dowser, and teacher. Patti has been teaching ghost hunting courses at the Bluegrass Community and Technical College in Lexington, Kentucky since 2001. She is currently lecturing at numerous universities, colleges, and libraries throughout the United States.

Patti is currently working on an event, ScareFest, which will be held at the Lexington Center on September 12, 13, 14, 2008 and hosted by Ghost Chasers International, Inc. It is herald as is one of the biggest "Horror and Paranormal" conventions to be held in the Southeast. It will feature many stars and celebrities from the horror and paranormal communities. She has been featured on national TV such as A&E “Airline” filmed in Birmingham, AL, at the haunted Sloss Furnaces and a film clip of that investigation was featured on the Montel Williams Show. Instruction For and Directions to the Class:
We will be meeting at the Ghost Hunter Shop which is located in the Collectors Gallery building. The Gallery is located at 835 Porter Place , Lexington , KY 40508 and if you want to get the driving directions from your home you can go to www.mapquest.com and type in your address and the gallery's address for directions. Once you turn off Versailles Rd. onto Porter Place , Collectors Gallery is the 3rd building on the left. It has a big parking lot and a sign on the side of the building that says, "Collectors Gallery" and "The Ghost Hunter Shop". The Introduction class starts at 9:00 am - 3:00 pm . We break at 12:00 for lunch at one of the local buffets and that meals cost around $7.00. The course, "Introductory to Ghost Hunter" is presented on PowerPoint so viewing the photos, videos and listening to the EVPs is so much better. It is the same material I use to teach the 4 week class at LCC. I just condense the stories and I can fit it all into 5 hours. The cost of the Introduction course is $50.00.
You will receive a package that will include ghost hunting forms for Case Study Reports, Investigation Worksheet, Permission to use information form, and items needed for a ghost hunt check off list. The package also includes instruction on how to use the EMF meters, how to record EVPs to your computer, dowsing affirmation, prayers for investigation, and a clearing prayer.
At the end of the class you will receive a certificate of completion for the Introductory to Ghost Hunting Course. This will make you eligible to take the Advance/Certification Ghost Hunting Course if you wish to continue with your studies in ghost hunting. You may want to bring a pen and pad for note taking during the class.
